ABOUT ME

Martin Wieland – A life for photography & nude photography

By the time I was 14, I knew for sure: I was going to be a photographer. My father was already one, and so much of it just felt right—the quiet of the darkroom, the careful observation, working with people. After attending the “Graphische” in Vienna, I quickly specialized in what has remained my passion to this day: fine art nude photography. Sensual, direct, minimalist.
I work with people, not poses. That’s why my images aren’t a show—they speak of trust, intimacy, and quiet strength. Erotic photography that takes its time.
My work has been published in Playboy South Africa, Penthouse Germany, and Der Wiener, among others.
Today, my works are part of private collections around the world.

In addition to my Collector’s Edition – limited edition fine art prints on Hahnemühle Baryta paper – two calendars are released every year:
the classic erotic calendar in black and white ( Black & White ) and its colored counterpart ( All in Color ).

This is complemented by two large-format photo books – Coffee-table books that let series breathe. Not a best-of show, but photo series that you don’t scroll through, but leaf through. Over 25 years of work, reduced to what remains: Body, space, light. If you want to get started without immediately hanging a work on the wall, this is often the place to start.

Since the complete relaunch of my website, there are also Signed.Framed.Iconic.:
Monthly rotating designs as hand-signed, limited-edition fine art prints—framed, and available online for only four weeks.
For collectors who want quality but don’t want to start at 1,000 euros.

Another series that has been created in recent years is the Modern MadonnasPainted over originals based on my nude photos – sometimes colorful, sometimes censored, always unique. Pieces of art on wood, resin and paper, created together with my art director.

I believe in real pictures. In intuition and in art that stays – even when the power goes out.
