I don’t collect because I have to, but because pictures find me \u2014 perhaps pathetic, but true: either they blow my mind at first glance, or I stop thinking about them. The ones that trigger something without making a big fuss are the right ones. If you want figurative art, that’s exactly what you’re looking for: you see the picture \u2014 and it won’t let you go. That doesn’t happen with all of them. But with those where there is more to see than just a physical form.<\/p>\n

I have been photographing nudes for decades \u2014 reduced, sensual, clear. Anyone who gets involved becomes a collector rather than a viewer. It starts with one picture. And it often becomes more.<\/p>\n
