Day at the sea – Contemporary collage art

A picture like a warm day by the sea. The lines are playful, the colors like sunbeams on the skin. Nothing is forced here – everything flows, everything remains gentle. This contemporary collage art shows how easy passion can feel when you allow it to simply be there.

Modern Madonnas – contemporary collage art that cannot be categorized

The Modern Madonnas series breaks with expectations. There are no smooth, decorative pictures for sterile rooms here. This is contemporary collage art that looks, questions and tears up appearances. Paint, sand, varnish – layer by layer, art is created that remains because it does not adapt.

Every work is different. Sometimes collage, sometimes overpainting, sometimes installation. The techniques change, the approaches remain unpredictable – because art lives when it constantly reinvents itself. It is a creative playing field in which materials and methods are constantly recombined, regardless of rules or expectations.

Technology & materials

Each work in the Modern Madonnas series is a unique original – analog, genuine, tangible. There is no retouching here, it is layered, torn, applied. Layer by layer, different materials are applied, reworked, destroyed and rebuilt until the surface not only develops depth, but also its very own dynamic.

The result: contemporary collage art with character – lively, authentic, inimitable.

The creative process

There is no fixed scheme in the Modern Madonnas series. Each work emerges from the interplay of material and intuition. The collages are not planned in advance – they develop in the process.

Traces of manual work, small irregularities, intentional imperfections – the process remains visible here. The works live from the human touch: from visible interventions that show that it was not a machine but a person who worked on them. It is precisely this imperfection that makes them an authentic example of contemporary collage art.

Each picture is created in close collaboration: the photographic basis is created by Martin Wieland, while the collage, overpainting and material combinations are developed and implemented by his art director Dietmar Halbauer. This creative exchange makes each work a multi-layered, unique original.

Framing – protection & effect in perfection

This work is already stylishly framed. It has been fitted with a high-quality object frame, which has a strip thickness of 2 cm and a depth of 5.5 cm. The glass used is an anti-reflective Acrylic Optium Glass, which is also used in renowned institutions such as the Albertina. This exclusive acrylic glass gives the work an elegant touch and at the same time protects it from harmful UV radiation. If you do not require a frame, please get in touch with us.

Collector’s value & unique character

The Modern Madonnas series is aimed at art collectors who value authenticity. Each work is a genuine original – created in analog form, signed by hand and only available once in this form. The deliberate choice of materials, the visible working process and the combination of different techniques guarantee the unmistakable character of each piece.

With the certificate of authenticity supplied, this value remains documented and traceable in the long term.
